The Broadway Chamber Players commissioned a chamber piece for their June 2016 American Composers concert. I was delighted to be able to write a piece for some of the fantastic musicians I’ve been playing with in Broadway pits for years, and since I was given carte blanche to pick an instrumentation, I wrote a piece for flute, English horn, trumpet and cello. The recording is of the world premiere at St. Malachy’s Church (The Actors Chapel), featuring flutist John Romeri, English hornist Kathy Halvorson, trumpeter Matt Mead, and cellist Laura Bontrager.
