The Pit Stop Players perform a revised version of Recurve at Symphony Space in February of 2013.
Recurve, for clarinet, violin, cello and piano. Duration about 11 minutes. (2011)
Here’s what I wrote as the program note for the world premiere at Cornelia Street Cafe: “I wish I could say that Recurve explores bisymmetric phase spaces and was constructed using reverse Boolean stochastic procedures with a double back flip… but it wouldn’t be true. Recurve was written to showcase the huge talents and energetic performance style of the members of the Gotham Ensemble. It has a kind of fast part, and a slow part in the middle, and a really cool loud part at the end. I hope you enjoy it!”
