This piece is dedicated “in memory of John Cage,” and it is about the act of listening. Full of sound effects, funk rhythms and sudden starts and stops, it’s a crowd-pleaser; it was voted Audience Favorite for St. Louis new-music ensemble Synchronia’s 1999 season.
