Breath: The Passionate Life and Extraordinary Language of Emily Dickinson is an evening-length music theatre piece which tells the story of Emily Dickinson’s life through excerpts from her letters, settings of her poems and dance (as well as her gingerbread recipe). It was performed at St. Mark’s Church in 1996.

The cast included Lynn Wichern as Dancing Emily, Kate Kearney-Patch as Singing Emily, and Leigh Hansen, Courtney Young, Jason Hauser and Tom Treadwell as various members of Emily’s family and community. Andrew Sellon was featured as The Visitor. Instrumental accompaniment was performed by the Sirius String Quartet.
